fonaCAB Tour 7 - Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede
Rope BridgeYou will then travel to the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Spanning a chasm some 80 feet deep, the rope bridge was originally used by fishermen, who would fearlessly traverse the bridge with its single rope hand rail and widely spaced slats.
Although the National Trust has now modified the bridge in order to make it safer for tourists, it is still a heart-stopping experience and some visitors have even failed to make the return journey!
You will have an hour to build up the courage to cross this swinging bridge, and even if you decide against it, the views as you walk to and from the bridge are well worth the trip.
