Located in Cultra, Holywood, County Down, The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is one of Northern Ireland's foremost visitor attractions. Established by an Act of Parliament in 1958, the Ulster Folk Museum was set up to illustrate the way of life and the traditions of the people of the north of Ireland.

The Transport Museum displays Ireland's most comprehensive transport collections from horse drawn carts to Irish built motor cars, from the mighty steam locomotives which graced our railways to the history of ship and aircraft building. The Museum, part of National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland (MAGNI), ranks among Ireland's most important cultural, educational and tourist facilities.

 Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm; Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 11am to 5pm
**The outlying rural area closes at 4pm during the months of November, December and January)
