fonaCAB RENEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH COORS BELFAST GIANTS (August 2007)
In August 2007, fonaCAB
announced that they were back on board for a third
season as one of the Giants major corporate sponsors. fonaCAB's
Business Development Manager Simon Kitchen
said: "We are pleased to renew our sponsorship of the
Giants.
The success of the Coors Giants has been great
news for the sporting and entertainment life of Belfast
and is a major boost to businesses such as ours."
Todd Kelman, General Manager of the Coors Belfast Giants
added: "fonaCAB have become great supporters
of the Coors Belfast Giants over the last few years and
I am delighted to be working with them for another
season."
"To have a well known and successful Belfast company like fonaCAB as part of the Coors Belfast Giants team is a great accolade for us as an organization. I hope our partnership with them will continue to flourish over the next few years."
THE BELFAST GIANTS - A BRIEF HISTORY - (September 2007)

The Coors Belfast Giants are Northern Ireland's professional ice hockey
representatives in the UK Elite League. The side was formed in the year 2000 by
Bob Zeller, and played their opening match at Belfast's Odyssey Arena against the Ayr Scottish Eagles in
front of a sellout crowd.
The Giants lifted their first piece of silverware in February 2002 when they won the
British Ice Hockey Superleague Championship - they also finished in the runners
up spot in the Challenge Cup Final under the guidance of head coach Dave
Whistle.
The team brought home more silverware the following season in the form
of the League Playoff Title, defeating the London Knights in what turned out to
be Dave Whistle's last game in charge.
After a disappointing 2004/05 season, 2005/06 will be remembered primarily for Theo Fleury, the NHL legend who came to play for the Giants and lit up the Elite League with his wild personality, amazing hockey skills. With Theo onboard the Giants led the league from the first puck drop to the last winning their second League title in their short history.
Although the Coors Giants just missed out on retaining their crown last year, they are determined to throw down the gauntlet to the Coventry Blaze and the rest of the Elite League. They are promising Giants fans an action packed season and are hopeful that the Monteith Bowl (Elite League Title Trophy) will soon be crossing the Irish Sea back to its rightful home.

BANGOR FOOTBALL CLUB (January 2008)
In July 2007, fonaCAB penned a two year extension to their existing sponsorship deal with Bangor Football Club. The new deal sees fonaCAB act as the club's main sponsor until 2009. fonaCAB's partnership with the football club goes back to 2003, and during that time, Bangor have lifted the Steel & Sons Cup, the Daily Mirror Trophy and the North Down Cup.
Last season, the Seasiders came within literally an
inch of promotion to the Premier League. A second place finish in the League set
up an end of season Premier League play off against Glenavon. With the tie level
at 1-1, Bangor twice hit the woodwork at Mourneview Park before narrowly losing out in a dramatic penalty shootout.
This was to be George Dunlop's last game in charge.
Under the guidance of former Glentoran manager Paul Millar, the Seasiders started the 2007/08 season strongly. With much of last season's talented squad being retained, the club faired well in the Carnegie League Cup, reaching the Final where they narrowly lost 1-0 Loughgall in a game where all the chances came Bangor's way. On the way to the Final, the club recorded a number of impressive results in the Carnegie League Cup, not least a 10-1 home victory over Chimney Corner. Bangor clearly have their sights set on the Carnegie First Division League Title this season.
Bangor have started 2008 with a bang! They made progress in two Cup competitions and recorded a memorable 2-1 away victory over Premier League Glenavon in the JJB Irish Cup. The club will now face Linfield at Windsor Park in the next round.
You can find out more about Bangor Football Club and follow the Seasiders online at the official club web site http://www.bangorfc.com. You can even catch all their match highlights on video at the club's video web site at http://bangorfc.tv
Good Luck to Bangor for the 2007/08 season from everyone at fonaCAB !
